ACR 2006 Highlights from Johns Hopkins University

ACR 2008 Highlights

The Annual American College of Rheumatology (ACR) Meeting was held in San Francisco, California from October 24-29, 2008. Full abstract reports may be can be found online by visiting the ACR Website. There were many important and interesting findings presented at the meeting. While it is not possible to review all of these, our faculty has selected many abstracts that touch on various areas of new research. Many of our Hopkins faculty members participated in summarizing these abstracts, most of which were selected from oral presentation at the meetings.  You will find brief summaries of the studies along with commentaries from the faculty.  Some of the abstracts were also presented and highlighted at EULAR 2008 and or other meetings to which we have provided internal links within the review.  Many of these highlights focus on diseases whose predominant manifestation is arthritis (consistent with the mission of this WebSite). However we also have additional studies on lupus, myositis, and other rheumatic diseases.
